Jamie O'Leary - Senior Program Director Hockey

Jamie O'Leary has been a hockey coach and program administrator in the Colorado youth hockey community for over 25 years. He has served in virtually every capacity of youth hockey administration and operations including acting as an Executive Hockey Director, Hockey Director, Age Level Director, AAA Director, 8U Director, Head Coach and Assistant Coach. He has held these roles with several youth organizations in Colorado dating back to 1997. Jamie grew up playing hockey in Connecticut, Illinois and Colorado. He played AAA hockey for Team Colorado, Team Illinois and the Chicago Young Americans. He attended the prestigious Shattuck-St. Mary's Prep school for hockey and played NCAA hockey for Fairfield University in Connecticut.

Coincidentally, Jamie's hockey company, O'Leary Hockey Training, was contracted to develop the youth hockey program at the Lafayette YMCA when the building first opened its doors. The inaugural youth summer league led by O'Leary Hockey Training consisted of 550 kids and dozens of teams. Jamie helped to launch the first in-house hockey program the following season. His brother, Sean, stayed on as a Senior Program Director for the first 2-3 years of the rink's operation.

Jamie is thrilled to make his return to the Y. He believes wholeheartedly in the YMCA core values and has enjoyed every minute as he has gotten to know the YMCA membership and the Locomotives families. He looks forward to making a lasting positive impression on all the kids who move through the program.
