The YMCA’s Prevention and Healing Programs focus on a variety of conditions, helping participants get healthier, build strength, gain knowledge and target their specific needs. These classes offer support to people who are looking to prevent disease, recover from illness or work through the symptoms and deficiencies caused by their conditions.

Better Balance 

A class that is designed to enhance balance and stability in people of all ages. The first half of the class goes over basic static and dynamic balance and stability exercises, the second half of the class is dedicated to utilizing tai chi inspired movement patterns to inspire healthy movement patterns via muscle memory and to add a bit of complexity and cognitive loading into the weight shifting patterns associated with tai chi and life. A very enjoyable, social class that will leave feeling challenged and refreshed.
