Come visit our brand-new YMCA Inspire Preschool space at the Y in the heart of the city of Boulder. This new program — licensed by the state of Colorado — will support families with little ones ages 3 to 6 years.

2025-26 Registration Will Open April 1
At Boulder YMCA Inspire Preschool, we know that children learn when engaged in meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our creatively talented teachers deliver daily lessons that invite your child to explore, problem solve and achieve age-appropriate success. By supporting your child’s individualized academic, and social and emotional needs, they will be destined for not only a strong transition to kindergarten but a lifetime of success. Located inside the Boulder YMCA, we are uniquely equipped to provide our children with an array of indoor and outdoor play opportunities. Along with the playground, children enjoy playing in the Splash Pad or in the gym which supports a wholistic approach to the early steps of building a healthy lifestyle. In order to support entire families fostering a healthy lifestyle, all preschool families receive a free family membership to the Y. That includes access to our fitness centers, pools, gyms and more. With the membership, discounts on sports and aquatics programs, including swim lessons are included. Contact the Business Office after you have enrolled in preschool to apply for your free membership. Please note, when you re-enroll for preschool for a new school year, you will need to reapply for your membership. |
Registration FeeThere is an annual $100 non-refundable registration fee per child. Our registration system will not allow you to enroll until you’ve paid this fee. The registration fee is good for the school year. Registration fees are waived for all families using authorized CCAP. Registration is based on continuous enrollment. Registering on a month-to-month basis does not guarantee your child a spot in preschool. |

The Curriculum
Inspire Preschool utilizes Creative Curriculum. The research-based lessons are designed to build on each child’s strengths and interests while encouraging positive teacher/child interactions. The classroom environment and daily schedule are carefully designed to enhance the curriculum as well. We also use Smart Teach by Teaching Strategies for progress monitoring and kindergarten readiness assessment.
Parent Resources
Review policies, financial assistance, CCAP, care for children with disabilities, the parent handbook and more. Y financial assistance participants may register online after their financial assistance has been approved.
